Photos from Paris: the Latin Quarter

My partner Mike and I went to Paris last month. These are shots captured. Also reference the Analog Tweets from Paris series, as this may give you some context. The shots/slides are available to view on Flickr, and are hidden behind a cut so as not to make Livejournal explode.

The Latin Quarter is thus called because it’s where the Romans used to hang out. Nowadays it’s where the tourists and those willing to put up with the tourists hang out. The view from the Bedlam Theater

I was at the Bedlam Theater twice in the same week last winter, for an author’s reading and for an Ignite! Minneapolis event. Little did I know that this is the last year for said theater – it’s getting torn down to make room for parking, or a mosque, or parking for the mosque or something. While I’m really sad about it – the Bedlam is cool – at least I grabbed some snapshots while I could.

Canada Pacific Railway

You can get to this by crossing space between a community garden and a private residence. I really meant to explore more in spring 2010, but my good walking shoes did not break in properly until sometime in August. Hopefully as you read this I’m out collecting fresh photos from new territories.
